Solace Eco Cabins - Citrus Cabin in Clanwilliam

The Citrus Cabin is a standalone villa with one bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. The kitchen includes an oven and a fridge. The bedroom has air conditioning. The villa offers a private terrace, a fireplace, and an outdoor shower. Towels and bed linen are provided. Some guests noted the cabin can get hot during summer days, as large windows face the sun without blinds.

There is no restaurant on site. The villa has a self-catering kitchen equipped with an oven, fridge, and basic cooking tools. A gas braai (barbecue) is available on the terrace as an alternative to the fire pit. Guests receive a complimentary bottle of local wine. A microwave is not provided, and some guests suggested adding a roll of paper towels.

The cabin features a wood-heated hot tub (KolKol) on the terrace, perfect for stargazing at night. There is also an outdoor shower with strong hot water. A fire pit and a gas braai are available for cooking. No shading is provided over the hot tub or braai area. The air conditioning in the bedroom runs from 10:00 to 20:00 daily.

The cabin sits on a citrus farm near Citrusdal, 22 km from Clanwilliam Museum. It is 24 km from Clanwilliam Golf Course and 45 km from Citrusdal Golf Club. The property is completely off-grid but has reliable power and water. The location offers total isolation with mountain views. Access is via a gravel road; signs are small, but the host provides phone guidance.

Free private parking is available on site. Free WiFi is included. The host is reachable by WhatsApp for assistance, including setting up the hot tub and arranging guided walks to San Rock Art with a local guide. Air conditioning, BBQ facilities, and a terrace are provided. No railings on the stairs, and the deck can become slippery when wet.
